Imagine the money schools will save on textbooks which quickly become outdated and worn out. The new digitized format will be a game changer allowing student access to all levels so that they may proceed at their own pace.
Check out Blake Plock's "Teach Paperless" to see what is being done without paper in the classroom. He uses few or no textbooks and has students go directly to original sources at the library of Congress, and other free sites. The students love it. Teaching students to find factual information is the key to helping them become autodidacts and become lifelong learners.
